Painting and kite event in the Gallopperiet at Christiania
If you want to help paint in good company, come up to the Gallopperiet.
Here we are planning the following days' painting event in the Gallopperiet in the company of artists from the Uzupiz Republic in Vilnius in Lithuania and Pispala Art Center – Hirvitalo from Tampere in Finland.

During the week and until June 2nd, we are setting up the Gallopperiet as a painting workshop. Show up with your easel, canvases, paint and brushes – and an open mind. If the weather is good, there is plenty of opportunity to paint around Christiania.

Marius Nebosia from Uzupiz will be at the head of a major Art-Kite event, where decorated kites will fly over Christiania during the week (if there is enough wind!). So if you are more into kite building/flying kites - just hang in there.

As part of the activities, the singer and performer Skaidra Jancaité from Lithuania will perform outdoors in various places in Christiania.

It all begins with a small exhibition of works by Marius Nebosia. Until Friday 31 May, the exhibition will be expanded with works by artists from the Pispala Art Center in Finland and with works from the painting event at the Gallopperiet.

The activities are carried out as part of the network project Uzupiz-Hirvitalo-Christiania Caravan Project 2013, which was launched on the initiative of Marius Nebosia and which is supported by Kulturkontakt Nord.
